The guys at Decca … The guys at Decca who rejected the Beatles in finding them invalid, it has surely found idiots, listening to this provision and especially seeing what the Beatles have become. It is on until … Decca found after the anti-Beatles = Rolling Stones. But hit was already a different story. In any case, “Cry for a Shadow,” first and only composition Harrison / Lennon is really beautiful too in advance for those years …
I don’t like this … I don’t like this version, well sometimes I do and sometimes I don’t, but mostly I do not. The only thigs that catch my attention is that this song brings me little memories, and the pictures kinda fit this tune-the pics are interesting. ANYWAYS I LIKE THE ANTHOLOGY 3 VERSION A LOT BETTER THAN THIS ONE; IT SOUNDS A LOT MORE LIKE ROCK AND IT HAS THIS MATURE HIP REGGAE ALTERNATIVE SOUND.
I had the 45rpm … I had the 45rpm single of this in 1964 when I was 11. I sold it along with my other Beatle 45’s for some cash when I was in High School. – I could have swore it was another more rough version!! Can’t findthe 45 anywhere!
The Lead Guitar! … The Lead Guitar! The Rhythm! The Bass! The Drums! The Screams! The only tune written by John and George. Ain’t She Sweet and Cry For A Shadow are from the sessions they did in Hamburg backing Tony Sheridan as the Silver Beatles..Searchin’ is from the Decca Audition, all available now on Anthology.
