The Beatles–Eight Days a Week [Anthology Version]

Posted by admin on February 17th, 2010 and filed under anthologies | 25 Comments »

My favorite band of all time and a great song.

This audio is from the Beatles Anthology 1, from the second disc. Its a different view of the song, I especially like the “Oo’s” at the beginning. And there are some mistakes by Paul which are rather funn :P

I give all credit to the fabulous Beatles for the song and the recording.

Love those Ooos at 1:25. I only had the Anthologies for a while when they came out when I was a kid. When I found out that’s not how this song really went, I missed those Oooos. Just give me a thick fog of Ooos at the start of every song.

    John: “You’re daft, get”
They were insulting (joking with) each other and George Martin? tells them to get serious guys…UK slang dictionary says:
get Noun. An idiot, a contemptible person. Cf. git.
    daft is silly or foolish.
    They’re ADORABLE!!!

Enjoyed this! I’ve been a Beatles fan since I was 5 years (the age I was when they hit America in ‘64 – also the same year that one of my favorite cartoons “Underdog” came out. Loved Sweet Polly). Check out my vid “Underdog Loves Sweet Polly” set to “Eight Days a Week.”
