Should there be 3 new Beatles Anthology albums?

They should include the original demos for Free as a Bird and Real Love and the newest Beatles single, "Now and Then". It should also have more demo tapes from 1957-1960. I would also like to hear "Tip of My Tongue" from 1962 and "Carnival of Light" from 1967.

As long as there is demand and material I imagine there could be more than that. I, personally just like the records for the most part with the exception of a couple tracks I found the anthology to be…I guess I’m a big beatles fan, but I feel like the unreleased anthology stuff was unreleased for a reason – not that it was bad, but I bought it and never listen to it, just the records. So I’m probably done buying it, but more power to them for releasing as much as they want so long as the demand is there. I WOULD buy one disk that was the stuff that you’re talking about, or totally different versions of things. Kind of like if you consolidated the first anthologies from 6 disks into one (there was some really good stuff there was just too much stuff and it watered the whole thing down). I’m just not so interested in outtakes and miscellaneous stuff. Just the tracks man, just the tracks.

According to George Harrison himself, there pretty much isn’t anything left after the last 3. They’re "scraped the barrel".

The tunes you mentioned could conceivably be put out on some special cd. That’d be nice, but I doubt there’s much left for a full 3 more anthologies.

What I’D like to hear are the hours of "Beatle chatter" in between takes of songs. There’re very possibly hundreds of hours of them talking to each other & friends (some famous), joking, fighting etc. It’d be Very interesting to hear all that.

It’d also be nice to hear outtakes & unreleased solo works.

If there is material worth releasing, then it will come out.

My guess is that nearly all the good songs that are of both commercial and historical interest have been released.

To dredge up stuff that sounds amateurish at best and crap at worst would do a disservice to the Beatles legacy.

I agree with Fonzie T. I’d love to hear their inside jokes and stuff in between takes.

No, that would be Over Kill. The Beatles are already the best band ever. They don’t need a bunch of rejected material, out takes and crap dug out of some closet, to sell more albums. We have the best available to us, why do we want to hear the worst of them too?

I’m against it. To me they’ve released everything that was good a long time ago.

I actually think that the six discs of the original three anthologies would be higher quality if they were cut down to one three disc anthology.

Sometimes I think that we take away from our heroes by wanting to hear everything they did, including everytime that they coughed or burped.
