When this was … When this was recorded, it was during the time when James Brown moved from King Records to Polydor. He also fired and hired several musicians and re-recorded songs. This song was originally released as a B side of Give Me Some More. The song here is the Pass the Pease/Gimme Some More LP version.
As a JB … As a JB afficianardo I am confused because this is NOT the ‘Hot Pants Road’ I know – there is another version which has a different bassline and organ riff for starters and to be quite honest, is on a another level in terms of funk.. It may be a 7″ version but is one of the bands’ best tracks, made all the more amazng because it is so rare.!!
Great track man , I … Great track man , I been trying to upload the rework of this , A.A.B.B – Pick Up The Pieces One By One , which was JB’s answer to the AWB – Pick Up The Pieces LOL , but there’s a copyright infringement
Yeah this is funky … Yeah this is funky as but the audio sounds like it was recorded by plugging a pair of headphones into an audio jack. That or it was recorded inside a 1968 chevy truck on AM radio.
