In Norway we learn … In Norway we learn about the Beatles in music class, and we have a huge test about them. And half of our grades in music depends on that test
@ClarenceFisher And … @ClarenceFisher And even in the new millenium they still have number one records in America. They paid their dues and reap the rewards. Woo!
George Martin was … George Martin was with them on this visit. He tells a stroy that he was in the audience in Washington, standing up and clapping along with the crowd. A teenage girl looked at him and said “Oh, you like them too, sir?” She thought he was a parent who brought a teenager to the show!
They dont mention … They dont mention that Neil replace George on the rehersal for the Sullivan show cuz George was sick.
Thanks a ton for this videos beatlejuice.
The other day I was … The other day I was wearing my “I Love John Lennon” shirt, and some high school aged cashier at the supermarket asked me, “Who’s John Lennon again?” Was he in the Rolling Stones?’ And she was SERIOUS! The need to make “Beatles 101″ a high school requirement. NO ONE on Earth should have to ask who John Lennon is. That’s a sad state of affairs.
With all the crap … With all the crap they put up with over here, you’d think they were more hated than loved in America. Shoddy travel conditions, lousy stage equipment, having their LP’s sliced and diced beyond recognition. It’s a wonder they didn’t say “aw, bugger this” halfway through.
