George Martin was with them on this visit. He tells a stroy that he was in the audience in Washington, standing up and clapping along with the crowd. A teenage girl looked at him and said “Oh, you like them too, sir?” She thought he was a parent who brought a teenager to the show!

The other day I was wearing my “I Love John Lennon” shirt, and some high school aged cashier at the supermarket asked me, “Who’s John Lennon again?” Was he in the Rolling Stones?’ And she was SERIOUS! The need to make “Beatles 101″ a high school requirement. NO ONE on Earth should have to ask who John Lennon is. That’s a sad state of affairs.
