The book is collection about the stories of people in a small town. It was published by Penguin books. I read it high school l liked but i don’t remember the author the titles. If you know it or have it is has bright colored painiting of the town. I think the title of the book is the name of the town that the book is written on. Please help

One possibility may be "Spoon River Anthology", a collection of poems by Edgar Lee Masters, first published in 1914. The poems are the thoughts and stories of the people of the town, usually not more than a page or two long, covering a century or two of life and relationships, loves, passions, truth and death.
If the stories are prose, rather than poetry, "Winesburg, Ohio" is the next best bet, although rather than being an anthology of stories by several authors, it is a collection of stories by one author.
