What is a good poetry anthology published in the last 10 years?

Posted by admin on March 8th, 2010 and filed under anthologies | 2 Comments »

I am taking a creative writing class, and I need a completely poetry anthology published in the last 10 years. I would prefer it be by one poet. Also, I really really do not like contemporary poetry, so does anyone know a good recent anthology with a more classical feel??

The Harbrace Anthology of Poetry. Fourth edition. Ed. Stott, Jones, and Bowers. 2006.

It’s not by one poet, but it is a very comprehensive look at English poetry. It has just about everything from everywhere at every point of time, which is great because you can get to know and love a lot of poetry you might not have expected to, just by flipping through.

From the oldies like Shakespeare, William Blake and Shelley; to William Carlos Williams, E.E. Cummings and Sylvia Plath; to the very modern Margaret Atwood, Michael Ondaajte and Louise Bernice Halfe; it has everything.

Metal Slug Anthology Opening

I love this song.
Final Attack is such a killer theme song. Eri, Fio, and Tarma rule! Yes Clark and Ralf are in the game (in Metal Slug 6).

Are There Any Books/Anthologies In The "Dark Erotica" Genre That Don’t Feature Fantasy/Supernatural Elements?

Posted by admin on March 2nd, 2010 and filed under anthologies | 1 Comment »

I love those dark, moody, atmospheric, erotically-charged or outright explicit tales . . . but they always seem to turn to vampires, ghosts, demons, and so on to accomplish that.

Does anybody know books or stories that look at the dark side of HUMANS in an erotic context?

Whenever i look at these tales it annoys me how they always end up being supernatural as well. Its frustrating because it stretches the mind capacity more than a normal classic human erotica would.
If i look for them, i go to www.writerscafe.org and it takes thirty seconds to join (if u dont u cant view all writing and they dont spam or anything…) and search genre erotica, then narrow it too stories and there are so many talented writers with stores there and majority with no supernatural crap intertwined!

WWE Anthologies: Wrestlemania, SummerSlam or Royal Rumble?

Posted by admin on February 28th, 2010 and filed under anthologies | 8 Comments »

which dvd-collection of the WWE Anthologies is the best and why do you think so? If buying just one, which one would you choose?
….and why not go with summerslam?

Generally go with the WrestleMania one for a start but it depends what you like, if you’re a Royal Rumble fanatic get that, although alot of them don’t have very good matches surrounding them, I wouldn’t start with SummerSlam because most SummerSlam events are pretty average, and not required viewing, I’d go with WrestleMania because you’ll be watching these shows out of context and WrestleMania is the superbowl of the WWE.

Onto your other question "and why not go with summerslam"
Because the only great SummerSlams overall were 98, 00 & 02 whereas WrestleMania always has something entertaining on the show, Royal Rumble is always a fun event but can be boring watch them back to back

Will wwe release survivor series and summerslam anthologies?

Posted by admin on February 26th, 2010 and filed under anthologies | 2 Comments »

i hope so. i fear that the survivor series anthology will be a lot like the royal rumble anthology. the summerslam anthology should have a lot of great matches and prolly would be like the wrestlemania anthology.

A Survivor Series anthology would be great for these reasons and (expect to see one in December or January 2008)

*SS 2006(DX, CM Punk, The Hardys, Taker, Batista, Cena, RVD, Lashley, and more… star studded)
*SS 2005(Team RAW vs Team Smackdown, Return of Undertaker)
*SS 2004(Team RAW vs Smackdown)
*SS 2003(Goldberg vs Triple H, Austin’s team vs Bischoff’s team)
*SS 2002(First Elimination Chamber match, Brock F-5 to Big Show, and the triple threat tag match with Edge and Rey vs Guerreros vs Angle and Benoit)
*SS 2001(Match with WCW/ECW vs WWE)
*SS 2000(Austin vs Triple H where Austin dropped HHH from the forklift thing while HHH is in the car)
*SS 1998(Rock turns heel and joins the corproation)
*SS 1997(Vince screwed Bret…)
*SS 1996(Austin vs Bret part 1)

As for Summerslam
*SuSl 05- HBK vs Hogan, Cena vs Jericho, Orton vs Taker
*SuSl 04- Orton winning the belit, Taker vs JBL
*SuSl 03- Elimintaion Chamber Part 2, Angle vs Brock
*SuSl 02- Rock vs Brock, HHH vs HBK(HBK first match in 4 yrs)
*SuSl 00- First TLC match, Rock vs Angle vs HHH
*SuSl 98- Rock vs HHH in ladder match, Austin vs Taker
*SuSl 95- Ladder match with HBK vs Razor Ramon

i need an anthology
