IS the beatles’ song Yellow Submarine in any of the 3 Beatles anthology discs?
I currently own the 3rd anthology disc and hope to get 1 and 2, but is Yellow Submarine on any of those two, or on another album?
No. There were a few songs that came from the album Yellow Submarine but none of the anthologys have the song.

If John Lennon was still alive, what other artists would he most likely compile music with? and why?
Example:
1) Bono – similar world political views, both have resonating voices that would compliment each other’s styles
2) Paul McCartney – Page and Plant did it!!! (just not use the Beatles name)
3) Oasis – publicity/gimmick
4) The Rembrandts – publicity/gimmick
5) Elton John – in 1974, "Whatever Get’s You Through the Night" worked.
6) Jeff Lynne (from ELO) he did a lot of work with The Beatles Anthology albums, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr stuff…
7) Ozzy Osbourne – they wear similar styled glasses, plus Ozzy lists Lennon as one of his biggest influences.
Julian Lennon – why not?
9) Pete Best (Original Beatle drummer)
10) David Bowie – merely for more "Fame! – Fame!"
definitely Sean Lennon and Yoko Ono, for obvious reasons
definitely Bob Dylan as he called Subterranean Homesick Blues, "captivating on every level"
probably Neil Young
i agree with your choice of "Bono", disagree with your choices of Oasis (G. Harrison hated them, and said they sound like the Beatles, so probably Lennon would feel the same way), and the Rembrants (what have they done besides the "FRIENDS" theme song?)
I don’t think he would have played that much with McCartney but they probably would have done some Beatles Reunions together.
What other singers/artist have…?
Made video anthology albums like Beyonce has done?
Bruce Springsteain
The Beastie boys…
um..
NAS..
Thats really the only major ones.

What do you think is the best investment for music by The Beatles?
I am really getting into The Beatles lately, and I am doing my research on what the best investment of my time and money would be for albums to buy would be.
First of all, I already have four Beatles albums on CD that I got from my dad: A Hard Day’s Night, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Revolver, and Abbey Road.
I am interested in getting much more music, and it seems that the best way to do that would be to buy anthology-type albums, that have the ‘best’ songs all together.
I was looking at sets, and I was wondering if anyone has opinions on if they are good or not.
Here are ones that I have been considering:
The Beatles Anthology: http://beatles.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=BEAWEB&sku=BEA38034
Anthology CD part 1: http://beatles.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=BEAWEB&sku=BEA38010
Anthology CD part 2: http://beatles.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=BEAWEB&sku=BEA38017
Anthology CD part 3: http://beatles.fanfire.com/cgi-bin/WebObjects/fanfire.woa/wa/product?sourceCode=BEAWEB&sku=BEA38018

Does anyone own any of these, because I want to know if they are really any good.
Do you recommend getting actual albums and completing my collection that way, such as Let It Be, and The White Album, or getting anthologies?
Also, I heard talk that some albums or anthologies will be redone and the sound quality will be made better some time in 2009. Does anyone know anything about that? Would it be better to wait and spend my money on even better quality, or get CD’s now?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
i own 1, anthology part 2, and LOVE.
1 is a good cd, it has most of the classics and you cant go wrong getting that
anthology part 2 is good as well, it has some "original" recordings where they talk in it and stuff and i think it would be nice to own all of the anthologies eventually. its also good because if you can get it for cheap its a two disk and comes with a total of 45 songs
LOVE is good if you already know the beatles music because it’s basically a revamped version where some of the songs are mixed together. like a modern phycadellic kind of thing that they used for cirque de soeli (sp??) so id recommned that for sure but probably after you buy and know some of the songs from the other two
