I am writing my final English essay about John Lennon and the media. I know there are countless books out there about the Beatles and Lennon, but do you know of any that are known to be accurate? Is there a good way of telling whether a source is credible or not? For example, I read The Beatles biography by Bob Spitz, assuming it was fairly accurate, but I found out later that it contained glaring errors. Any good books out there? (Besides, obviously, the Beatles Anthology.)
here are several books that i’ve either owned or read:
the love you make an insiders story of the beatles
revolution in the head:the beatles in the recording studio
get back:the story of the beatles let it be disaster(i think that’s the title of the book)
the beatles live
the beatles recording sessions
the complete beatles chronicle(which combines the previous 2 books)
the beatles gear
just to name a few

I think there’s a book they wrote themselves entitled "Help!". I’m not too sure otherwise though.
