You are invited to a FREE training day to introduce you to


“Illinois Voices”

Illinois Voices is a state-wide self-advocacy initiative designed to empower people with developmental and other disabilities to make their own decisions, stand up for their rights and speak for themselves based on their strengths and desires.

This fun filled day for persons with disabilities, family members, and agency staff will include information and ideas needed to begin building capacities, changing lives, and
recognizing the value of persons with disabilities through:

a celebration of gifts
group activities
videos
scenarios
ways to support self advocacy
types of choices and how they can be honored
and much, much more!

DARE TO DREAM!!!
A New Visions Workshop

This Dare to Dream workshop is full of fun activities to encourage people with developmental disabilities to dream bigger and to identify people who can help support their dreams and make them come true.

Outcomes:
• Identify at least one dream in your life and a small step toward making it happen.
• Identify people who will support your dreams.
• Share ideas about how to change the current service system so it can better support your dreams.

New Visions is a statewide project funded by the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities to assist 250 people with developmental disabilities to look beyond traditional available services and supports in order to fully accomplish the goals that they believe will improve the quality of their life.
