One of my favorite … One of my favorite Supreme songs – it shows their harmony which was kept soflty, almost unable to be heard – in later recordings. And you can hear Flo belt it on the ending. I found it annoying then, and unless their later hits are remastered so you can hear Mary and Flo, it’s annoying today. Although Diana is a star and brought the world enjoyment, it’s sad that Mary and Flo were marginalized!

This song shows the … This song shows the pure magic which was the Mary/Diane/Florence medly that simply didn’t exist with Cindy or afterward. Those 3 voices complemented each other so well!

some people thing ugghl and normal alto but NO mary had a great alto
when she goes in “looooong gooone looooo ver”
I love it and yes flo at the end “my baby is gone down the line” or something like this haha it’s so great =)
the backing vocals … the backing vocals here are so clear.
and Flo shaked this song with here end “my baby goooo doooown the liiineee ” I loooove this.

and the stylised … and the stylised ross sound begins to emerge its exciting head! this song begins the exciting sound that the supremes got once it was clearer who would sing lead. flo and mary really get down on the backing vocals and add to that excitement.
This is one of my top favourite songs of the early supremes stuff =)
