For me it’s AA Mline’s "Halfway Down the Stairs" (I think that’s the title).
My mom used to read that one to me before bed. I haven’t been very poetic (reading, writing, understanding, or "other" in my lifetime) but I still like to occasionally (once or twice a year) dig up that old poem anthology and flip to that worn page and reminisce about being youthful.
