could this go in a classical poetry anthology?

i’ve been working pretty hard on it:

once i was a dove
that was long ago

now i am a turkey
won’t you eat me for Thanksgiving?

once i was a turkey
that was long ago

now i’m a cow
won’t you eat me on a bun?

once i was a cow
that was long ago

now i’m a piece of sourdough bread, with a little butter on top
won’t you eat me with some turkey on a day of your choice?

doves, turkeys, cows, and bread
can i get symbolic in your mouth?

Sure… write it on a piece of paper, fold the paper, and use it as a bookmark in your classical poetry anthology.
