This is my original poetry piece to be published in my upcoming poetry anthology, “PhilosoFlow”. I decided to revisit “Separate But Equal” but in a kinder, softer way. (Thanks for the idea depfox!

If I can encourage just one person to free his or her mind from false ancient beliefs that bind, then I have done my job.

I forgot to mention earlier that I also heard Marianne Williamson speak on this very subject on Oprah’s xm station about a year ago. Marianne Williamson is one of my favorite people, along with Michael Beckwith and Ed Bacon. Ms Williamson spoke very eloquently and beautifully on the subject and as usual I agree.

This is a very touchy subject for many people, but you Estari are handling it very well. I don’t speak that much on it because I’m not sure what to say. All I know for SURE is that God exists within ALL people and loves ALL people. For God to hate gay people would mean that he hates Himself. Do you know what I mean? Contemplate I AM and all will know Peace, Love and Harmony.

Estari you express yourself very well. I like to listen to Oprah’s xm radio program. One evening about a year ago during her Soul Series she had Rev. Michael Beckwith and Rev. Ed Bacon as her guests. Both are heterosexual. Rev. Bacon stated that gay people are gifts to the world and Rev. Beckwith agreed. I am also heterosexual and I completely understand what the two ministers said and I agree. We are all manifestations of God expressing in different ways, hence we are all gifts.

I have heard this …
I have heard this particular opinion enough times to actually consider it’s validity. After some thought, I have concluded that there is none. God is greater than the concept of even heaven and certainly the concept of hell. That’s the paradigm that I function within during this particular lifetime. Or course, your opinion is your opinion. Being Black is NATURAL just like beig WHITE or BROWN e.t.c.
Gays are UNNATURAL beause its very very clear to a REASONABLE INDIVIDUAL that the intent of nature (GOD) was to create a man or woman that can complement the opposite sex especially where they are lacking. e.g. childbirth or physical strength.
By the way, there are millions of lost souls in because of this nonesense.

well i just wana say not all people who are against gay marriage are religious.
But nontheless, i agree with you. People have to stop being closed minded and learn to be more accepting. I have a huge hompohibe cousin and i still dont get his POV (point of view).
